Resiliency is more important than ever, but financing and building resilient infrastructure has been thought infeasible. But it is possible and essential.

This teleconference will focus on how to understand and plan for energy resiliency in ways that significantly increase community engagement and create local jobs while minimizing the capital outlays for financially stressed local governments.

Sustain SoCal invites it members, strategic partners and guests to dial-in to our weekly Community Teleconference. Held each Thursday at 2 pm Pacific time, these informal interactive discussions are led by Sustain SoCal members and address strategies and solutions within our recovery and beyond as they relate to energy, supply chain management, transportation, water, human capital management, agriculture, smart cities, cybersecurity, waste stream management, Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), cleantech economic development, ESG and impact investing and more.To participate in this week's teleconference, you must be pre-registered. About the Presenters:

Tripp Borstel, Director and Head of Transformation, Sustainability Solutions, ENGIE Impact

Tripp has a 15 year career as a strategy consultant to senior executives on issues of climate, energy, and resiliency. His passion is for the variety of ways organizations can accelerate strategy implementation. It generally involves some mixture of executive alignment, stakeholder engagement, and leadership habits to unlock the full potential of a system to achieve its vision for good. Prior to joining ENGIE Impact in 2019, Tripp worked in PwC’s Sustainable Business Solutions practice, the Katzenbach Center for Organizational Culture & Leadership and at Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting. In these roles he was responsible for leading of engagement teams serving a range of clients in technology, healthcare, NGOs, and local government. Recent clients include Kaiser Permanente, VMware, and the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator. Recently he supported the City of San Jose in creating Climate Smart San Jose, a climate action plan framed around how sustainability can enhance the good life. He lives in Oakland, California and has an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Suzanne brings her passion for the environment, and more than fifteen years of energy efficiency and renewable generation experience to the development and implementation of successful energy projects for public sector clients in Southern California. Her goal is to ensure that success is measured not only by the savings we help our partners generate and the greenhouse gas emissions we off set, but also by the impact we can make to our Client’s long term goals and objectives including: community engagement, economic development, job creation, revenue generation, climate action plan goals and engaging, inspiring and challenging students, today and into the future. Clients include the City of Brea and their “Green Life, Green Brea” initiative, Huntington Beach Union High School District, Institute for Healthcare Advancement and Westminster School District. Suzanne holds her BA in Psychology from UCLA.
